I forgot to mention...
Joe K2XX is absolutely correct. the "Navy" (or Bird
switch) is dependant on the mating of the "N" pins. A
spread female or misaligned male pin and you got a non
working switch.
We always inspected them about once a year or so.
They are built like little tanks, but even a tank
needs a checkup once in a while!
Well worth the 15 minutes!
