I am not sure where the thread came from....
Recently I observed a local company installing alert sireens and using a 45
lbs jack hammer with a special attachment to drive ground rods. They had
an air driven jackhammer.
So I checked and the HomeDepot rents an electric jack hammer with the
attachment. I have not tried it myself, but am coming closer to starting the
ground installation for three towers here in SE Alabama. The ground
composition is about 8" of mixed sand/top soil and light/medium orange
clay below that.
If anyone is interested then I will report my success or difficulties when the
time comes... hi
