I received small open metal sleeves with the Rohn-supplied EHS Big Grips.
I'm not sure what metal they're made of, but I think it's steel. I received
black cable ties with the Phillystran guy grips. The metal sleeves jam down
onto the end of the grip solidly and can't come off easily. It's very hard
to tighten the cable ties on the Phillystran guy grips enough to keep them
from sliding with only modest pressure. My impression is that they won't do
a heck of a lot. On the other hand, it's hard to imagine enough ice sliding
down the guy to open the end of the grip. Has anyone ever heard of that
happening?
