Well, regarding damage caused by lightning at my station:
I watched multipule strikes occur over the years.  I've lost two yagi's, two
fuses in rotor control boxes, one potentiometer in the rotor housing, and
one TX2 that exploded for some unknown reason other that a direct big hit
and damage to the top three sections of Rohn 55 including two insulators
that were destroyed.
