The thing that one has to do is to ensure that the unused antenna system
is not resonant by accident. With one feedline disconnected and floating
what you might wind up with is a open stub that resonates one antenna
system to your other operating frequency. Shorting out the feedline is also
no guarantee that it is not resonant. I would use a GDO to determine where
the open-circuit and short-circuit resonances are located for each system.
Common-mode resonances might also be a problem that chokes would
probably solve.
