hook a 50 ohm load across the antenna side and measure the SWR? If
it's 1:1 (or close) it's a 1:1 balun, if it's a lot worse, it's a 4:1.
If you have a scope or RF volt meter, put an rf signal of 1 volt in
one side and look at the voltage on the other side (4:1 is 2:1 voltage)
