The tips on the Hy-Gain antennas that I have owned have a pretty thin wall
and if they are bent and straightened they will weaken and eventually break.
I would replace them.

Hello,
I've just checked the archives and was surprised not to find any info on
this
topic (Its happened to us all, right ?) .....
I have acquired a Hygain beam, which took a tumble (that is why I have it).
Quite a few of the elements are bent,
mainly the tips where they join the next section.
What is a good way to redress them.
I do not think 'just bending them back in the other direction' is a possible
solution. Because I am sure they would not bend in the correct place and it
could also snap them due repeated bending in the same place.
Would heating them, help (to make the metal softer ?)
Your comments are most welcome.
Thanks
