Everthing that has been said is on target but be sure that the clamp is
crimped on to hold. I used a boat
crimping machine and found out its great for straight line pulling but the
crimp popped in the vertical use of a crank up. I then re-crimped the
clamps at a Northern Electric and that holds. On the bottom rope
I added three big cable clamps just in case.
Be sure not sorry. If done right the cables will last far beyond 10 years.
Spray the cable with Pre-Lub 6 or similar every year or so to keep them
running smoothly.
