Paul,  I don't know why you're looking for "stainless steel wool" unless it's 
because it won't rust away (and mice seem to dislike it).  How about those 
brass scrubbers that are used in the kitchen?  Won't rust, will probably act 
similar to steel wool as a choke, and it won't rust.  Plus, you can find it in 
any kitchen section of any discount or grocery store.

Just my $.02 worth.
