Yes, you;'re right...we forgot about lighting. The owl must have some
lightening up there. - Mike

I'm laughing at this thread...

First, why would I bother taking a "wench" up my tower? My home is too
modest to have anything more than a radio tower, even if it my castle!

Second, the questions have got to be a put-on...even if there are safety
issues, I got a great laugh over them or someone needs to lighten up!

No to mention attachment of the owl, whether to use insulated or NON
insulated wire, anf of course what type of wire, be it insulated or
non-insulated, copper, stainless, aluminum, galvanized, etc. And / Or if a
more substantial clamping arrangement is to be considered what kind of wench
to take up the tower with you for attachement of said clamp. - Mike

Regarding running a 3V line.....

What about RFI issues?
What about properly grounding the 3V line and owl per NEC and National
Building Codes?
What about Lightining protection of the owl - proper grounding methods?
What about antenna interactions and reradiation because of the presence of
long wire?
Is the owl properly permitted and allowed per your original site permit?
Is a PE stamp required for the proper engineering of the stand that the owl
is located?
Has the windloading of the owl been properly calculated and included in the
tower calculations?
Do the calculations of the owl wind loading, and the effect on tower loading
been properly updated and included in the PE approval of the foundation and
tower?

just a few thoughts to ponder.......:)

Scott, aka KB0FHP
What are the ramifications of the owl on neighbors?
