Not to split hairs, but 10Base-T Ethernet is spec'd to require a minimum of
CAT3 cable (which is capable of 10Mhz over 100 meters). CAT5 (100Mhz)
would be required for 100Base-T. Not to say you can't run an old 10Base-T
network over CAT5, but CAT3 will suffice.
