Hi, In my experience there is always some type of interaction with antennas
and ANY close by objects, it always shows on SWR measurements. I run an
Inverted V 55 ft at the apex on a METAL side arm hanger bolted to the top
of a crank up for the 3 low bands..160-80 and 40. I found the biggest issue
in tuning it was the actual height of the ends above ground coupling to the
ground..took me 2-3 weeks of jerking around with it to tune it on the 3
bands where I wanted it and use a Palstar AT5K to go elsewhere with it. So,
in short...move the ends around somewhat and maybe vary the 2 ends height
above the ground some if possible. If all adjustments fail try new coax..if
its old it cant hurt !

Anyone who might think a dipole is a joke needs to use one and make it work
to see how good they do work. In only 3 seasons on the low bands with 25
bucks or so in material I have accomplished...

160---109/100

 80----173/152

 40----179/162

OF course I still wish I had full size Yagis or 4 squares!!!! 100ft x 100ft
urban/city lot there is only so much you can do !

Good Luck ! I am sure it will work out with a
little more tweeking.
