Has anyone homebrewed a rotateable dipole for 30 meters. I am looking to
make a single band (30) shortened with some sort of traps. Any direction
would be appreciated.
Thanks

Rick, I purchased the Hygain single element 40 meter dipole.
and just modified it for 30. In fact the assembly instructions has settings for
use on 30.
It works REAL well
You just short out the linear loading wires with a clamp or alligator clips.
(I used small bars of aluminum with a hole in the center and a bolt and wing
nut to make
sliders for ease of adjustment)
It's more or less full size but pretty light.
There was also an article in QST on how to build switching so it was 40 or 30.
Article came out 2 months AFTER I put mine on the tower.
Next time I do major change I will incorporate the relays.
