Have
any of you out there in TT Land been required to install a Ufer ground?
What's the best way to bond the pigtails to the rebar?

There was a real good post here at some point that pointed out the
problems with trying to weld rebar. I think they mentioned brazing it but I
could
be wrong. You might check the archives or maybe someone has saved it.

rather than using a form?

Umm, didn't you mention that that's what Rohn says in their specs?
(Hint: It is.)

My question is: why would you use a form? Most tower base holes come in
many shapes and sizes - one with perfectly formed sides is the exception.
Even if the sides of the hole have sloughed, just fill the hole with concrete
-
no muss, no fuss with forms and you're conforming to the manufacturer's
specs. Sounds pretty straightforward to me.

I'm not sure what you mean. Please explain.

> Third question: Has anyone out there been required to connect the rebar in
the anchor pads to the ground system?

No. I've never been involved in one like that in WA or CA in a couple of
dozen tower construction projects.
