IEEE Berkshire Section Power Chapter Presents Seminar on
Broadband Over Power Lines (BPL)
BPL or broadband over power lines leverages new advances in signal
processing to offer an alternative means of high-speed internet access,
voice over Internet Protocol, and other broadband services, using medium and
low-voltage lines to reach homes and businesses. The debate is on whether
this will be a viable alternative? Will investments in this technology
surmount the challenges facing BPL development? Come, listen, and learn
from a lively debate covering the various perspectives on this topic.
This is a day-long informative event with presentations that include BPL -
Impacts of EMC, BPL Characteristics, Equipment Show and Tell, and Role of
the FCC, IEEE, and Regulators.
