although this still does not explain why it works with the F12 group and not
the Tower group I have checked and my settings were for html. I have kept
this but added the wrap ...
just read the rest of your message - great - so there IS some sense here!
Thanks much for your response. I will post this on the tower group for
others to see and do as well.
thanks for (hopefully) resolving this for me. Apologies to all - again - I
was not saying it wasn't here - just couldn't understand how... Patrick has
cleared it up nicely!

Subject: RE: [TowerTalk] formatting on TowerTalk
Then as several other have suggested it is the fault of the sender.
The senders in those cases have not set their out-going mail options
correctly. In both Outlook Express and Outlook there are options to control
this. In OL Express (6.0) you will find the pertinent option by going to the
Tools menu, Options... and the Send tab. If the sender wants the best
possible compatibility then he/she will set the default Mail Sending format
to Plain Text. In the Plain Text options section they can go with the
default 76 characters per line for the line break but 60 actually works a
bit better. Same option is available in Outlook and every main-stream e-mail
application available.
