Sean,
What you need to find is the "deviation" (the difference between true
north and magnetic north) at your QTH. Aeronautical charts are accurate,
and do contain information about deviation. If you have a local airport
with a Fixed Base Operator (ie flight school, aircraft rental, etc) you
should be able to get the chart you need there.
Another approach is to use GPS. Some GPS receivers also contain an
electronic "compass" that can be set to report true vs. magnetic north.
