Just one comment on the replacement panel - I have been using a 1/8th" thick
piece of aluminum plate to make the panel, and then putting a 1/2" Romex clamp
thru the plate with two sides of the nut ground off on the inside. Then I run
apiece of rotor cable into the rotor and wire it according to the way I want
the pinout on the outside. I leave 12" to 18" of wire out and put a male octal
plug on it and a female octal plug coming from the shack. Takes a wee bit
longer the first time but sure is nice from there on. I have used this on my
initial installation here and is still working fine after 25 years.
Just a thought Dave / NØATH
