If you have the ones that are a single arm the hole in the end is for a
clevis pin, not the thimble. The thimble fits through the clevis.
Don't forget to safety wire the clevis pin which screws in place.
I'll see if I have any photos I can put up.
The same is true of the tower rings someone asked about a week of so back.
