Well, for Sweepstakes and other contests within America, that may be a good
idea. We have discussed in the past the importance of blanket coverage when
the requirement is to work everyone there is, and whilst working on my new
contest-log visualisation tool (before you ask, the project is still 'under
wraps' at the moment, but a screenshot is here:
http://www.mapability.com/ei8ic/logview/ ) I have noticed from some of the
logs sent in for testing that obvious gaps appear in some contester's
coverage, especially on 10m where their signals overshoot most of the
continent.
I wonder if a quad mounted in this manner would be the ideal antenna to
'fill in' the short to medium ranges, or perhaps there is a better way to do
this.
Comments, please.
