Are the joints on that wire properly welded? Poor welds and/or
rubbing wire could become diodes generating lots of noise. Also,
how well will that stuff stand up in the soil in your area? In
some soils certain fencing material disintegrates quite rapidly.
Given that your base is at 10' above ground have you considered
building a shed with a steel roof directly underneath it? ;-)
