::Does anyone else think that one issue responsible for the hobby's ultimate
demise is restrictive covenants prohibiting antennas and towers? I do.
Unless technology is developed that allows us to DX in the amateur spectrum
using indoor paperclips for antennas, as we older hams die off and the
older, covenant-free homes slowly disappear, the newer generations may have
to way to explore "wireless communications" beyond their cellphones, WAP
networks and PDAs....-WB2WIK/6
Indirectly Tower Talk and any other technical reflector is being dumbed
down. Or, the need is being eliminated. As the technically competent,
experienced, capable amateur dies off, so will the real hobby of amateur
radio.
