I am trying to power up an HDX5106 MDPL-1000 winch
motor controller, and need wiring info.
UST sent me 3 pages of drawings, but there
are still missing pieces, such as, does
the motor run on 240VAC or 120VAC? I know
the control circuits are 120VAC. I am trying
to run the motor from the tower for now,
and hook up the RMC-1000 later; but it appears
that the RMC-1000 must be connected even
if you want to be in "local" mode. Also, I
appear to be missing the on/off power switch
at the tower; is there supposed to be one?
Any help would be appreciated.

Does anyone have a surefire wingding way of pulling apart aluminum that is
telescoped together. I have a TA-33 that needs to be reduced in size so I
can take it to Dayton and peddle it. I am having a dickens of a time
getting it apart.

I started trying this in the 70's Jim. Signal phase and
level varies rapidly even at distances as close as several
hundred feet on 160 meters. That means when combining
elements spaced over a distance of a few wavelengths, the
combining system would have to recognize and track a desired
signal. That's a big technical problem for random signals on
random frequencies.
I can't directly combine arrays spaced more than 1000 feet
or so on 160 meters with manual or fixed phasing, and
automatic phasing is not practical with noise floor random
signals.
What I settled on is using the largest possible size antenna
array, and then picking wider spaced cells as "pairs" to run
in stereo on phased locked receivers. The more directivity
you can get in a limited area, the better it will work.

The remote does not work without the control box connected. It uses the 120
v from the box to operate the relays. You can run the motor by holding down
2
relays, the one in the top center and one on the right or left, depending on
which direction you want the tower to go. The limit switches are not in the
circut if you hold down the relays. Also, the middle relay has 120 v on it
so
use an insulated screw driver.
You can run the motor on 220 V. Just wire the 220 to the box where the 110
is and change the wiring hook up in the motor, accordiung to the diagrammon
the
motor.
The relay box has the local up down switch on the side.
