I wouldn't think the load on them would be very much. What am I missing?

While removal of rivets isn't hard, I doubt that the generic hardware
store aluminum rivets have the shear strength anywhere close to what is
needed for Force-12 antennas.
I'd contact the manufacturer and see if I could get some replacements.
