Only the driven element may be taken apart without removing rivets.
However, removing and replacing rivets is really easy. Just use a cordless
drill to remove, and a pop-rivet tool to replace. Use aluminum rivets
available from most hardware stores.

I'm planning on having a used C-4E follow me home and wonder if the 20 and
15m elements can be taken apart in the middle without drilling out rivits.
I can transport 18-19' pieces of tubing with no problem.

Thanks, Joe k7mks
