In Florida, the insurance companies are currently prohibited by the state
from canceling any insurance policies, including auto until this spring. Also,
no increases may take place until that time.
After that the flogging of homeowners will begin in full swing, which is why
I ate my antenna damage from the hurricanes, rather than turn it in to the
insurance company. One company (Citizens) which insures more homes than any
other in Florida, is the one which handles all "uninsurable" dwellings is
asking
for an 85-90 percentage increase and the insurance commission indicates they
will probably get it.
Be very careful about making claims for antennas and towers in Florida. The
insurance companies are quick to dump and once you get into the 'pool' it will
co$t you dearly
