FWIW, the AC current on wires 1 and 2 can be measured at the controller with 
a clamp on  ammeter.  The nominal normal operating current for that circuit 
is 3A.  When the brake wedge is stuck (or, the solenoid's movement is 
restricted by any means), the current demand can go as high as 15A.
