I did my 80m 4 square more then 20 years ago. At that time there was no Comtek box to buy, it wasn´t invented yet. All there was was Mr Comtek (then KF4HK I think) and we used to work each other on the bands and talk about 4 squares all the time. In any case Mr Comtek has turned out a nice box that sells at a atractive price and it has enabled many people to put up a 4 square for 80 and other bands, it surely is a good product, however that wasn´t the original issue. 73 Jim SM2EKM ------------------------------------------------ Tom Rauch wrote: The only reason I built my own phasing system is Spratly Island was on 160 and not hearing me, so I installed a 4-square and built the phasing system in one day. It's built on plywood covered with copper. _______________________________________________ See: http://www.mscomputer.com for "Self Supporting Towers", "Wireless Weather Stations", and lot's more.
