The first question related to all guyed tower anchors. This question relates
specifically to ham guyed towers owners.
The TIA/EIA-222-F is the defacto standard of the industry for steel antenna
towers. Most buildings codes reference it and none of them make it mandatory.
In the back there is an Appendix J. It contains 4.5 pages discussing the
problems and recommendations on how to install and maintain anchor rods for
corrosion. More specifically - Corrosion Control Options for Guyed Anchors in
Direct
Contact with Soil.
When you purchased your tower and specifically the anchors, was there any
instructions or warnings provided about anchor corrosion and how to maintain
the
anchors?
Have you read the EIA-222-F Appendix J?
