I agree. Please correct me if I am wrong but I believe RG-213 is
flexible enough to use for the rotation loop at the beam as well as
where it would loop on the side of the tower when you crank it up or
down. You could have one continuos coax run and not have the concern
of moisture getting into your splice points. kk9a@arrl.net wrote: I would use a single piece of Belden 8267 RG-213 for this. It's durable, there would be fewer connections and it would have less that 0.5 dB loss. -- __________________________________________________________________________ Alan Zack Amateur Radio Station K7ACZ Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Quality Engineer, The Boeing Company, Retired Aviation Chief Warrant Officer, U.S. Coast Guard, Retired U.S. Coast Guard, Always Ready, Always There Every hour, Every day, Around the Clock and Around the World SEMPER PARATUS http://gocoastguard.com DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY _______________________________________________ See: http://www.mscomputer.com for "Self Supporting Towers", "Wireless Weather Stations", and lot's more.
