Gentlemen and Ladies: I just received my bolts today from US tower for a HDX-572 that I will install. They look like regular bolts that are 27 inches long and threaded at both ends. The bottom end has a welded Heavy duty nut on it, (more threads per inch), and the top 6 inches that stick out of the concrete come with three each heavy duty Galvanized nuts. Why three I dont know as the base itself did not arrive just the anchor bolts. The package said 2 of 2 so I suppect it will come tomorrow. What is interesting is that the Nuts are the heavy duty kind, and galvanized, wereas the anchor rods are not galvanized. The only reason I can think of this is that the rods will be in concrete with 6 inches exposed. and the exposed area under the nuts will be grouted in and the top will have the galvanized bolts. I will still cold Galvanize spray the bolt ends after cleaning them. Sure hope the base shows up tomorrow!! Winters a coming!
