Gentlemen:
I have some questions regarding how the performance of my 80 meter 4-square
might be affected under two difference situations....
1) (This is the current situation)
80 M 4 square with 160 M Inv L about 90' behind it (SW of the 80M 4-square)
and elevated radials
of the 80 M 4 square and 160 M Inv L cross in several spots (the elevated
radials are all PVC coated)
All the 4 square elements are wire inverted L's.
2) Same 80 M 4 square with 160 M 4 square with one 160 M element
90' behind it and other 160 M 4 square elements about 120' or more
away from the 80 M 4-square (and behind them to EU).
All the elevated radials would be PVC coated and cross in several spots.
Questions:
How much is the 80 M 4-square being affected by the presence of the 160 M
Inv L
90' away to the SW?
How much worse, if anything, would the 80 M 4-square performance be affected
in the SW direction (towards the 160 M Inv L) than in the NE direction?
How much worse would any possible interaction be with a 160 M 4-square
vs the 160 M Inverted L, if the OTHER 3 160 M 4-square elements are
120' or more (about 1/2 wavelength) from the 80 M 4-square? Again, ALL
the 80 M and 160 M 4-square elements are Inverted L's.
Any thoughts and comments would be appreciated. If someone has actual
experience with this situation, that would be even better. Thanks!
