The first bazooka article was in QST and repeated the antenna book years
ago and was ptty much debunked in the 70's by DeMaw and crew. If I
remember, the design came from the RADAR world but didn't translate to much
at HF despite some of the wild claims that were made. Frank Witt AI1H has some neat broadband antenna articles in the Antenna Compendiums #2, #4 that might be interesting for you to read. Remember antenna rule #1: if it sounds too good to be true, caveat emptor! 73, Craig Clark, K1QX RADIOWARE AND RADIO BOOKSTORE PO BOX 209 RINDGE NH 03461 603 899 6957 WWW.RADIO-WARE.COM _______________________________________________ See: http://www.mscomputer.com for "Self Supporting Towers", "Wireless Weather Stations", and lot's more.
