I was puzzled as well -- couldn't believe there was evidence unless someone
saw it happen. Then I read <http://www.id.blm.gov/techbuls/00_02/part1.pdf>
and believed it possible. Even in this study, there seems to be pretty little
support for the idea of a red-tailed hawk 'flying into a power line' and
being electrocuted. Possible through some bird/power mechanism, but probably
not
from flyin into the line.
