I am in the process of putting up my tower and would like to add a weather station/anemometer to the shack. Our Boeing Club station had a fancy system with an anemometer that would automatically lower the tower when the wind exceeded a set level.
I don't want to get that fancy (and expensive) but would like to have a means of reading wind speed from the shack so I could crank the tower down when it gets too windy. Something that had a warning light when a set limit was reached would be nice but not necessary.
Could anyone point me in the right direction for something like this or share your experiences.
TIA & 73
