In Bill's case he mentioned using 6m yagis with spacings of 40ft or so. There 
would be very little, if any mutual effects at spacings this wide. For 
example, 39ft long 6m yagis stack at 28 ft spacing with no observable mutual 
effects.

The W5AH article did use coax sections and relays which help would make the 
phase delay changes more predictable; ie: 12 inches of RG213/U has a length of 
27.8 degrees at 50.15 MHz. 

The pi-net approach might well be a good way to accomplish the needed phase 
adjustment but I wonder what happens to the output R+-j values as it is 
adjusted?
