BTW - on my Trylon 64-footer, I used tinned #2 solid ground wire and tinned connectors. This reduces the electrochemical potential difference between pure copper and zinc galvanizing - a source of corrosion as others have reminded us. And this is old advice, but thin stainless steel shims (McMaster-Carr) are a good way to avoid electrolytic corrosion from the copper/zinc junction. 73, Pete N4ZR 2671 calls now in the World HF Contest Station Database at www.pvrc.org/wcsd/wcsdsearch.htm _______________________________________________ See: http://www.mscomputer.com for "Self Supporting Towers", "Wireless Weather Stations", and lot's more.
