Belden 9913 has a 10 AWG solid coppper center conductor within an
airspaced dielectric. When moved frequently (such as in a rotator
loop), the center conductor migrates away from the center of the
dielectric, creating impedance bumps in the cable. CQ Flexi 4XL is
otherwise identical to 9913 but has a stranded center conductor, which
is much more flexible. It is not as susceptible to center conductor
migration. regards, Mahlon - K4OQ Bernard wrote: I was looking at the instruction manual for the HyGain TH11DX and noticed that it said that Belden 9913 coax is NOT recommended as feedline. Anyone know why? I just bought some CQ FLEXI 4XL from the Wireman and I think that it is a variation of the Belden 9913. _______________________________________________ See: http://www.mscomputer.com for "Self Supporting Towers", "Wireless Weather Stations", and lot's more.
