However, not having ever bought a brand new telephone pole, that doesn't give me a meaningful comparison.I don't know, nor do I care very much right now. I was just trying to help the gentleman that made the inquiry, and copied the reflector as I anticipated that some might find it interesting. If I was real keen to know all about this, I would contact the manufacturer and get ALL the appropriate information to determine if the product was structurally suitable for the application and the fiscal constraints of the project. Like they say, it just depends on what one considers important. Might just be what this fellow was looking for. Might not be. A division of BP Chemicals was making tower sections out of polymer composite materials back in the late 80's in the UK, so this is not a new concept. Technology development has allowed it to become a more advanced concept today. No composte material tower sources were posted to the reflector, so I felt obligated to offer one. -- 73, K7NV Kurt Andress Andress Composites Inc. 1581 Shirley St. Minden, NV 89423-9044 Ham Related Website: http://yagistress.freeyellow.com _______________________________________________ See: http://www.mscomputer.com for "Self Supporting Towers", "Wireless Weather Stations", and lot's more.
