K7LXC........? ? You mean Liquid Electrical Tape by Star Brite? It claims to
be UV resistant but it dries up and flakes off anyway. At K5RC's place at
7,000 feet in NV, it mostly dried up and disappeared within a year or two.
Don't
you guys have extensive sunshine in FLA too? It's hard to believe that it has
much of a service life in those conditions. It's a problem we don't have to
worry about in Seattle - hi!

Yup....lots of sunshine and high humidity too. I'm sorry for the poor
results you guys get in the dry areas. I have used it for years as a final
cover
over the electrical tape I use to seal connections. I tried using it on the
'fuzzy" fiberglass rods on some older KLM's to stop the deterioration. It
stuck
like glue and is still in place. Maybe it worked because the fiberglass was
"fuzzy" and provided a good bond. Or maybe the humidity helped. All I know is
that I love the stuff.
Every year my wife puts a can of Star Brite in my Xmas stocking as a stocking
stuffer! Available at you local Home Depot in several different colors.
