Depending on how impatient he is he could probably find some local trucker
to pick it up while deadheading back or something.  I know I have use this
method with some success before.  Just try your local truck stops.  Expect
it to  take a little while.  One thing to ask, How are you planning on
unloading?  24' long and 1500 pounds is a dicey combination without the
proper equipment.

BTW there is no way you could fit that in a pickup truck
