Need a helper at the bottom of the tower? An extra set of hands? Somebody to
hold that rope while you're on the tower, but nobody's around?
K1IR Tip of the Day: Try an "ascender" - a great climbing device that lets you
pull a rope through in one direction, but doesn't allow it to slip back the
other way. Attach it to a rung near the base of your tower with a carabiner and
you are set to go.
Check out the online catalog at Inner Mountain Outfitters - and click on
Ascenders. I have the Petzl Basic Ascender. This device is a huge help when
understaffed.

Take a look at the other devices under just about every category in their
online catalog. All useful for tower projects. Fantastic stuff!
