Hi I used to have two ham 4 rotors which lasted about a year or so then the gear (the steel one) would go or the brake would strip. I replaced them with the smallest Prosistels 2.5 years ago and they are still happily turning, often in winds that would stall the Ham -IV. Can't speak on the control boxes, tho - I built my own.
