I recall from many years ago that AM broadcast towers had the joints bonded somehow to eliminate that problem. I never observed exactly what the bonding entailed but probably similiar to what was described with the strap and clamps/ The 2 stations I was involved with did not have anything other than the tower sections bolted together. They were different than the smaller Rohn sizes and more like the AB-105 tower with out the indivdual joints. 73 Jim KI7Y |
