RG8 isn't listed or recommended for 5800 MHz our charts but in reference LMR
400 is rated @ 10.8 / 100ft LMR 300 is rated @ 16.6. / 100ft.   Depending on
the connecters there good from .25 to .50 dbm. per connector.  If i remember
right you get approx 25% more attenuation from RG8 than LMR400.

We use Nothing Less than 1/2 inch on 5800 MHz.
