The following ad runs every week
in the local ag paper here:
"1000+ 3"x40' irrigation pipe
$29/joint with gaskets and good
sprinklers. Pipe located in
California, delivered anywhere.
Brownfield, TX 800-331-9523."
I bought some NEW 3" pipe a few
years ago for $1.05 a foot. I
bought some used 3" pipe for
about 15 cents a foot a couple
of years ago.
It is normally .050 wall. They
have "heavy duty" with .065 wall,
but the price is considerably
higher, considering that it is
less than 1/3 again as thick.
Never heard of .062 wall.
The price you quoted is highway
robbery! It sounds more like a
price for 6061 (which irrigation
tubing isn't).
