I know of one 96-foot Trylon tower in the Midwest that was installed in the
late 1990s and shows no surface corrosion. However, what was greatly
disturbing to me was that the tower twisted during a typical Midwest wind
storm and currently shows the effect of significant stressing, although the
tower was not in any way overloaded with antennas. A photograph of the
tower taken from the base looking upward reveals twisting and a bent section
approximately half-way up the tower.
