Gil:
Watt was an engineer who improved on the steam engine. He was not a ploof
reeder.
A reeder is one who thatchers, with reeds, the old roofs. Or is one who
fits musical instruments with a reed or two reeds.
A ploof is an ancient wind instrument with one reed, actuated by a bellows
that is moved by plops, ploops etc.
The method of reeding was held so obscure the Watt would never known how to
reed a ploof.
