Hi; Question just to confirm my observations: is the AWG system is based on the wire diameter and not on cross-sectional area ?. For stranded wire the crossectional area (measured/calculated) is smaller than that of the solid wire (same AWG #) with obvious consequences to the resistance (same copper grade). I've been brought up in a metric system so don't have the "feel" of the AWG system. 73 Art VE3PND |
