Posted tjhis on the antenna reflector without any response. Thought I might
try it here as my question involves my tower.

I was advised to modify my force12 yagis if I wanted to use the tower as a
shunt fed vertical for 160 M.

The thing is a friend of mine burned the pvc insulator that seperates the
force12 elements from the boom due to high voltages at the top of the tower
when running high power.

He wrapped the new pvc insulators with expensive teflon (PTFE) tape which
has suberb isolating properties.

Have anyone else experienced this ?

Does anyone use force12 antennas and the tower in a 160 M configuration ?

Thank you in advance,

Henrik
